Purpose and Information

District 6 has created a Transportation Committee under the Land Use Task Force.

The Transportation Committee will advise the District 6 Planning Council Land Use Task Force on transportation-related issues and initiatives, including (but not limited to) multi-modal transportation including street design, pedestrian safety and crossings, public transit service; including bus stops and routes and implementation of the Saint Paul Bicycle Plan.  Meetings are generally held the second Tuesday of the month beginning at 6:30 PM at the Rice Street Library-1011 Rice Street

It is important that the Transportation Committee represent all forms of transportation within the North End, even those that are historically underrepresented. Because of this, the Council encourages community members who depend on multiple modes of transportation to apply, including bus riders, bicyclists, drivers, motorcyclists, and pedestrians (including community members with limited mobility). Everyone is invited to apply however we hope to get members representing:

– Residents (renter and homeowner)

– Businesses and employees

– Schools and institutions
