Block Clubs

Block Clubs are still the cornerstone of Crime Prevention and a vital part of our work. District 6 does not have a template for Block Clubs, it is up to residents to define their own type of Block Club, including the area they wish to include, you could have only your immediate area or branch out to include multiple blocks. You could use social media, emails or other types of communication, face to face conversations should always have a role. Let us know how we can help or maybe there is already an organized group you could tap into.

Community Crime Prevention Team

This team is made up of residents, Department of Safety and Inspections, City Attorney’s office and the Central Police Team. The Team meets monthly and discusses issues that negatively affect your quality of life arising out of properties. We realize that at one time or another you may experience a problem, this Team deals with chronic behaviors and has established criteria.

Business Watch

District 6 is happy to be a part of a growing North End Business Watch. The group meets monthly and it is likened to a Neighborhood Watch-businesses looking out for each other. The second Monday of the month you can meet with the Commander of the Central Police District to voice your concerns, receive information and be involved in your community. The meeting starts at 6:30 PM at the Rice Street Recreation Center, 1021 Marion Street.
