2016 Neighborhood Honor Roll
Each year the District Councils nominate individuals, groups or organizations to receive the Neighborhood Honor Roll for their outstanding service and commitment to their neighborhoods. The North End proudly nominated Kirsten Libby and Byron Toole (Washington Tech School JROTC). Congratulations!
Kirsten Libby: Kirsten has practiced law in the North End for 15 years, owning Libby Law Office, located in a recently renovated building on Rice Street. Kirsten is active in the North End Business Association, as former president and vice president, Rice Street Festival, CIB and the North End Development Team. Kirsten enjoyed the honor of being Grand Marshall in the Festival parade and is invaluable to our North End Neighborhood.
Byron Toole : Senior Naval Instructor Byron Toole has been the guidinforce behind Washington Tech. JROTC for seven years. JROTC is a Leadership and Citizenship Development program for students in grades 9-12. Under the leadership of Byron, the cadets have volunteered numerous hours for North End events. Byron and the Cadets are invaluable to our community. Byron has also been the President of North End Business Association and has taken leadership in the Rice Street Festival.
