2017 Neighborhood Honor Roll Honorees
Each year the District Councils nominate individuals, groups or organizations to receive the Neighborhood Honor Roll for their outstanding service and commitment to their neighborhoods. The North End proudly nominated:
Shawn Sheppard-Flawless Presentation:
Flawless Presentations, owned by Shawn Sheppard, is a business owner we are proud to have located in the North End. Shawn has owned the shop for about two years and since that time has done some major remodel work-bringing in the brick to make the building more historic. Along with the history and charm, Shawn has made this a gathering spot for customers and neighbors. In the words of their customers “I love this spot!”, “Good customer service!” “They fed me there, gave me Nike shoes, great place!”
Since his arrival at the Rice Street Library, Zach Pierson, has proven himself to be a true advocate for the North End. He started the monthly North End Community Conversations where community members gather and talk about their plans, hopes and concerns for the neighborhood. These conversations brought people together for other community events like the summer lunches for kids, youth feedback of the Rice Street parade and was instrumental in Zach helping to organize the mayoral candidate forum in the North End.
